Principles of Marketing MKTG 301 010 Fall 2010 Reading Assignment for Class Two – September 9, 2010 This week, you’ll need to read two chapters, but both are relatively brief.  From the text:  Marketing , 2 nd  Edition, by Dhruv Grewal and Michael Levy, you should read  Chapter Two:  Developing Marketing Strategies and a Marketing Plan You should read the entire chapter and Appendix A.  Once you’ve read the chapter, you may want to complete the interactive exercise SWOT  Analysis at the interactive toolkit,  www.mhhe.com/grewal2e .  There are three practice  exercises on SWOT analyses. This is separate from the Connect Homework. The SWOT  analysis will be an important foundation for your class project, and this will give you  excellent practice. If you do not get to it before class, I would strongly recommend that  you do this exercise before beginning work on the SWOT analysis for your project.
