Principles of Marketing MKTG 301 010 Fall 2010 Reading Assignment for Class Three – September 16, 2010  This week, you’ll have only one chapter to read. It’s an important one, and it introduces some  very specific ways to think about marketing and looking at the world through the eyes of a  marketer. One of the keys to success in any marketing initiative – and certainly in your project –  is a careful and imaginative analysis of the marketing environment. Chapter Two introduced you  to some very broad frameworks. You’ll now start exploring the external environment.  From the text:  Marketing , 2 nd  Edition, by Dhruv Grewal and Michael Levy, you should read  Chapter Four:  Analyzing the Marketing Environment You should read the entire chapter.  Once you’ve read the chapter, please read and prepare the Chapter Case Study –  Stonyfield Farm: Changing the Environment of Business (pages 143-146).
