An Introduction  According to Tufte, compelling analytical design serves  to achieve one overriding objective: to maximize content  thinking time  while minimizing design  figuring out  time.   Within the business community where  deliverables, budget constraints and performance  expectations demand highly disciplined and responsive  communications initiatives, his theories are invaluable.   Just-in-time initiatives no longer represent the panacea  opportunity and the following formulas may represent a  more formidable hierarchy.
