Benchmark - Gospel Essentials There are many different worldviews that a person may hold due to their personal experiences. Christianity is one of the many worldviews that is common among society today, containing many key elements. The essential elements of the Christian worldview are God, Humanity, Jesus, and Restoration. It is also important to Analyze and Reflect on one's personal beliefs of the Christian worldview. These essential elements lay the foundation for Christians to build on. God God is an all-mighty and loving father with many characteristics and attributes that make him who Christians know him to be. The most important attributes of God are his ability to be omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. First, God is always with his followers, guiding them through life. Job 34:21 states, “His eyes are on the ways of mortals; he sees their every step” (NIV). God is with his people every step of the way. Furthermore, God is all-powerful, capable of doing what is asked of him and more. He can do things his followers cannot comprehend doing because “…with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NIV). In addition to being omnipresent and omnipotent, God is omniscient- he is all-knowing. Psalm 44:21 states, “Would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?” (NIV). This verse from scripture further validates the fact that God knows everything, even the things one keeps hidden in their heart. As well as God having many vital characteristics, he is also the ultimate creator. Genesis 1-2 is the account of creation through God, speaking all things into the world, into existence (“Topic 2 overview”, 2017, para. 8). God created life and everything we know that is in existence today. In short, God is always present, all-powerful, all-knowing, and the ultimate creator. 1
