After reading Chapter 13 on Process Analysis, I learned that process analysis explains either how to do something (so your readers can do it) or how something works (so your readers can understand it). Both types of process analysis present the steps involved in the process. There are four basic steps in process analysis. These steps include 1. It helps readers either perform the steps themselves or understand how something works. 2. It presents the essential steps in the process.

It is important not to miss a step, make sure to include all of the essential steps in the process, particularly if you want your readers to be able to do something using only your instructions. If you do not use all the steps in the process analysis the reader may become confused or lost in the process....
