Discuss the work-family conflicts that occur in much of the American workplace. While the text discusses integration of work and family, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of changing your workplace to become more family friendly as well as your assessment of the practicality of doing so. A lot of work family conflict arise when the employee believe that work is taking away from family time. Where overtime is normal and life only exist at work. I believe better communication and flexibility should be shown on both ends. Flexibility with management where they give their employees adequate time to spend with their love ones to not prevent burn out. Another way from the management prospective is to communicate if possible the projects for the year and highlight the ones where overtime is needed to complete; this will give the employee time to adjust their schedule around work.
