Sin causes us to look at ourselves and not God. It causes us to realize our weaknesses and to focus on them, and in doing that it’s only natural to want to cover them up and try fixing them. We forget that our identity is in Christ, because the devil uses it to bring us back to where we were without God when we were depressed, weak, angry, and hopeless. But in him we are more than conquerors, in him we are royal priesthood. And what sin does its sets up stumbling blocks that hinders us from running the race, sin doesn’t cause us to not go to heaven it slows us down. In the devil eyes it prolongs that individual personal ministry, because the individual focuses on himself instead of his personal ministry to God. And that’s the biggest sin, because we stop gleaning and stop focusing on the harvest, production slows down. The devil can never take you away from heaven, but if he stalls your production those souls and lives that you would have impacted earlier you don’t, because you are caught up in the old man and all his many flaws.
