Refer to problem #4.38 (page 178) but assume that the coefficient of friction between the ladder and ice is 0.05 and the angle that the lower surface makes with the horizontal is 20 o (not 10 o as shown in the figure). What is P when motion is impending? 3. What is the minimum value of the mass of block B required to maintain equilibrium? The weight of block A is 1500 N and the coefficient of friction between block A and the incline is 0.1. The coefficient of friction between block B and the ground is 0.24.
