At the instant that a ball is dropped straight down from the top of a 25 m building a second ball is projected upward at an initial velocity of 2 m/s from a window 13 m above the ground. a) Which ball strikes the ground first? b) Find the elapsed time between impacts of the two balls with the ground. 2. A particle moves along a curved track that lies in a horizontal plane. The speed of the particle is a constant value of 0.15 m/s. Find the maximum value (magnitude) of the acceleration the particle experiences as it moves from point a to point g. Kinetics of Particles (Ch 12) 3. A 150kg flat crate rests on the bed of a truck driving down an 8 o incline.The coefficients of friction between the crate and the truck bed are µ s =0.25 and µ k =0.125. a) Find the maximum friction force that the bed can exert on the crate.
