Throughout the world -- 333 million new cases of curable sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) occur each year among adults. The rates of STDs are *** 50-100 times higher in the US than in other developed nations ( 1 in 5 by age 21). 15.3 million new cases of STDs are reported in the US each year ( 5% of the total population). 3 million occur in persons aged 13 to 19 years. 63% are under 25 years old !!
