Popliteal fossa: muscles arrangement The two Semi's go together, Semimembranosus and Semitendonosus. The  M embranosus is  M edial and since the two semis go together, Semitendonosus is also medial. Therefore, Biceps Femoris has to be lateral. Of the semi's, to remember which one is superficial: the  T endonosus is on  T op. Inversion vs. eversion muscles in leg Second letter rule for inversion/eversion: ∙  E version muscles: p E rineus longus p E rineus brevis p E rineus terius ∙  I nversion muscles: t I bialis anterior t I bialis posterior
