Chapter 1- not who you know but who you get to know. Getting ahead is getting to know people. Ex was LBJ. He would give the Johnson treatment. It means if you want to understand why he behaves look back to where he is from. If you want to effect someone look at what is important to them. Chapter 3- Better to receive than to give. People like to help out. If you let them do something for you its much more binding than the other way around. Ex. Was carter would sleep in people houses. Chapter 4- Dance with the one who brung you . Loyalty is huge in the business. No one t rusts a traitor. Pg. 84 benefits should be given little by little. Injuries should be given all at once....
