1. During the analysis phase, you want to interview your users and ask them first what they are trying to accomplish with the program. What results are they trying to achieve – which is the desired output. You would populate column 3 above with this information along with data types. 2. Next, a programmer would need to know what data must be given, the necessary input, in order to achieve the desired output (column 3 above). You would populate column 1 above with this information.

What action or process will your program need to perform on the input (column 1 above) in order to translate that input into your desired output (column 3 above). You would populate column 2 above with these processes. a. Note: Your CD program would required a main process which the sole purpose of this process would be to populate your system with the CD information. In this answer key, that process is the Input CD Information process listed above. You want your users to input all the necessary information (in this case that is the Artist, Title, Genre, Year, Recording Label fields) for each CD. You dont want a separate input process for each input field. This would be a redundant process. You will notice that all processes are unique in some way....
