A: A community is a group of people who have common characteristics; can be defined by location, race, ethnicity, age, occupation, interest, or any other common bond. 2. A: Community health is more towards a group of people and their actions while public health is towards a group of people and governed by actions. How has that definition been modified? A: “A state of complete physical, mental, and social well being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.” It has been modified to “a dynamic state or condition of the human organism that is multi-dimensional in nature, a resource for living, and results from a person’s interactions with and adaptations to his or her environment.” 5.
