Tom Harrell is now in his 50’s his career began in Horace silver’s group in the 1970’s he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Kansas city funk- RH factor Roy Hargrove is an outstanding straight ahead jazz trumpterer he leads several groups inchluding this one “RH factor” combines hip hop groves , soulful signing, and jazz improvisation Bye bye blackbird- Kenny Garret Standard tune as performed by alto saxophonist Kenny garrett. His career began in art blankey band in mid 80’s he now leads his own groups around the globe His music varies widely from straight ahead to hip hop inspired grooves. This particular track features tradition acoustic rhythem section The device used on the melody and the first part of garrets solo is stop time It never entered my mind- Mulgrew Miller Standard ballad performed beautifully by pianist m. miller
