In this course, we have adopted the perspective that we can gain insight into human traits by assuming that humans are a product of evolution by natural selection. Choose any TWO of the following human traits and carefully consider and evaluate the hypotheses that have been proposed to explain how the trait is the result of natural selection . Include specific lines of evidence to support your discussion of these hypotheses; for example, discuss comparative studies on humans and other mammals and fossil evidence. Also include in your discussion, where relevant, the importance of environmental factors (including culture) in the evolution and expression of the trait. Intro: There are several human traits that are a product of evolution by natural selection.
