Nannette Brown 3.29.10 Eng 3 Denny May Unhappy Meals In the article “unhappy Meals”, Leo Young explains to us the reader that the food we eat has become less real food and more “nutrients”, “fats”, “carbohydrates”, and “vitamins”. Instead of our body finding these nutrients in the meat we eat they chemically altered it so that our body doesn’t have to look for it it’s already in there. As he continues he talks about all the diets low fat and reduced fat products, how they suck us in while not even being that good for us but having low carb, loss weight fast on the package can seem good for us. Meanwhile, it’s so much easier to slap a health label on sugary snacks then on fruits and veggies; we will be persuaded that cocoa puffs are so much better for us because they say whole grain rather than a banana. I’m left wondering if the Popeye’s chicken I’ve been eating for forever is really from a chicken or was altered in a lab to make me think it was all natural. After reading this article I
