Development Applications will vary depending on the type of development House – may get approved very quickly High Rise Flats – may need advertising in area Commercial Developments (Shopping Centres) – will need advertising in area plus consultations with public and extensive environmental studies Big Private Developments; e.g. Coal Mines, Government Projects e.g. Railways, Highways – Last two will need advertising in region (or State) plus consultations with public and very extensive studies of the environment. Get Council Planning Approval Arrange for construction of roads and services Have a Registered Surveyor prepare a Deposited Plan Obtain Council Approval for construction works and get signature on the D.P. “Linen” Plan Lodge D.P. for registration with Land and Property Information.
