SOM 301 LAB – COVER LETTER Draft due dates: Week of September 20 – two hard copies of typed first draft Week of September 27 – two hard copies of typed revised draft Final due date: Week of October 4 – one hard copy of typed final draft Points: First draft for Drafts/Preparation points (3 points awarded only if completely prepared with two hard copies) Revised draft for Drafts/Preparation points (3 points awarded only if completely prepared with two hard copies) Final draft worth up to 50 points Objective: To develop a working cover letter Purpose: To inform, persuade, and record Format: Professional letter Audience: Potential employer; formal SafeAssign: Yes; submission is required for the final draft .
