Our firm has successfully conducted two student focus group interviews and distributed more than 500 online surveys to students in organizations across the UF campus. Upon completion, data was analyzed and conclusions were drawn to create a list of recommendations that we can offer for improving the awareness level of study abroad programs. Thank you for your consideration and support of this effort. Our firm has researched and collected data to discover opportunities to attract, inform and send more students on educational abroad opportunities. Our firm is interested in drawing more students who are a reflection of the University of Florida population and encouraging them to become global Gators. To gain insight about how students feel toward the University of Florida International Center and studying abroad while in undergraduate studies, we utilized the Qualtrics online software to create a 32-question survey. The survey was distributed to the list serves of 85 organizations established through the University of Florida and individual students using a cluster-sample technique to measure the attitudes, perceptions and awareness of the program and opportunities. Of the 503 surveys taken, only 420 were considered as complete. We also conducted two focus groups with students from the University of Florida who represent all areas of study. The first focus group targeted only students who had studied abroad, whether it was through UF or a private institution, while the second focus group was for students who had not yet studied abroad.
