ACCT 361: Assignment #2 General Ledger Architecture (10 points) The purpose of this assignment is to use an automated general ledger system utilizing batch processing and, as an  aside, to introduce you to database applications.  The remainder of the course will focus on modeling and controlling  business processes (the event-driven systems), and you will use the client/server database architecture throughout  the semester.  You will learn the components of databases, i.e., tables, queries, forms, reports and events, gradually.   You are not required to thoroughly understand the general ledger database at this point, only to use it as a means to  understanding the General Ledger architecture.  Step One Download the general ledger database from Bb.   Download the file named “ABC 2007.mdb.”  Do not open the file in your browser.  Because of the enhanced  security features in 2007, you must enable the macro and visual basic code features of the database by  choosing the options button in the security warning bar under the toolbar when opening the database and  choosing “enable this content.”  To make the navigation between tables easier for you, click the down arrow  at the top of the left-hand-side (LHS) window.  Uncheck “tables and related views,” and check “object type”  and “all Access objects.”  Also, navigate to the tables in the LHS window.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
