MA 15400, Spring 2011, Exam 1 Information Exam 1 is on Tuesday, February 8 th from starting at 8:00 PM in the Elliott Hall of Music. You should be able to start entering the Hall by 7:40 PM. Your seat assignment will be emailed to you. Please know your seat assignment before arriving at the exam site. We are all sitting on the main floor, along with MA 15200 and MA 11100. Calculators : A single-line TI-30XA calculator is allowed for the exam. You will not be allowed to use any other calculator, a cell phone, or any other device. It does not matter what you were allowed to use last semester. During the exam, do not ask the instructor or a proctor any questions unless you think there is a typo. It is not fair to give you a hint unless the same hint is given to all 900 students. The exam consists of 15, multiple-choice questions covering lessons 1 though 11. You will fill in an answer sheet and leave the exam site with your exam. Your answer sheet will be the only thing graded. Answer every question. Points are not deducted for a wrong answer. Each question is worth the same amount of points. There is no partial credit. The only formulas provided on this exam are the three Pythagorean Identities. See attached cover page. Previous exams are available at the course web site. Not every problem on the exam will be just like a problem from an old exam. Homework, quizzes and the review problems should be studied to be adequately prepared.
