Reasons for the Rise in Global Business There are five major factors that have driven the increase in global business during the past 50 years. These five factors can be grouped into three groups: environmental factors, production and logistics factors, and integration and coordination factors. Environmental factors: 1. Computer/telecommunication/information revolution: Recent innovations in the fields of computing, telecommunications, and information have changed the way the world does business.
