In the months and years before Pearl Harbor, however, the United States was already moving closer and closer to war. In a well-argued essay, discuss America's increasing involvement in World War II from 1939 to the Battle of Midway in 1942. Be sure to discuss the reasons why the U.S. went to war AND America's early participation in the Pacific war. How did American entry into the war affect the homefront?
