Aubree Yeiser Mrs. Littlefield English IV, Period 1 11 March 2009 Pride and Prejudice : Chapters 24-33 Think and Discuss Questions 1) Caroline Bingley’s letter ultimately ruins Jane and Elizabeth’s next few months. She reveals that her and her party have gone back to London with no promise of returning soon. She also states that Mr. Bingley, the man whom Jane has fallen in love with, is seeking Mr. Darcy’s little sister as a possible wife. Jane tries to only think the best of everyone and completely believes what Caroline says, however Elizabeth isn’t quick to believe Caroline and thinks she may have hidden motives. The letter completely upsets Elizabeth, and although Jane hides it, it devastates her as well. 2) Mrs. Gardiner warns Elizabeth to be wary of Mr. Wickham because he is not very wealthy. However, we later learn that Mr. Wickham was quite aware of this fact and left Elizabeth for Miss King, who recently came into an inheritance. 3) Elizabeth learns from Colonel Fitzwilliam that Mr. Darcy is the reason that Mr. Bingley fled for London so abruptly. He believed that he was doing his friend a favor and saving him from an awful marriage.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
