1/31/11 Project Requirements Objective: To locate, approach and “knock out” the enemy’s targets (two separate lights). The robot to knock out the two enemy targets first, without knocking out their own, will be the winner of that competition. 1/31/11 System Design Our Strategy: Keep it simple: Robot rotates until it finds a target light and then travels towards it a set distance. Then the program repeats. Unique Features: Presence of hinges with springs on our bumpers so the bumpers always return to their original position. Our sensor suite is the provided breadboard with the light sensor, LED transistor, and 2 resistors. It is mounted onto the back of our robot.
