Cristian Cuevas Environmental Studies/Human Ecology Summer-May 2016 Dr. O’Sullivan May 9, 2016 As we know it day by day global warming is becoming a factor that is rambunctious. Over the past three decades the climate has seemed to escalate from a sustainable temperature for glaciers to maintain their frozen state to a temperature were it is causing them to melt. Although the ice has been melting slowly in the summer of 2007 is when the Arctic ice began to melt at a rapid speed. With the temperatures still rising the following two summers was a repeat of the year before. With carbon dioxide being the main problem in global warming many scientist and politicians look for a solution. When the climate began to change so did the number of people with starvation. In 2008 “40 million people had been added to the list of those “at risk of hunger”” (pg. 24). With temperatures reaching unbearable conditions crops such as wheat and corn grew less healthy for the people. This eventually would be a major factor in society because planet Earth expectably
