KIM 1 SAE EUN KIM NUSS EWRT211 11/22/10 Myth : Stereotypes When I was a child, my mother used to tell me that I shouldn't play with boys at the playground, and my father liked me more when I was playing the piano than I was building a Lego car. My younger brother once discussed his future with my parents. He wanted to be a nurse, but my father strongly disagreed with his opinion because he thought nurse was a girl’s job. Sometimes, I wonder who made girl’s job and boy’s job. Who decided that girl has to do ‘girl’s things’ and boy has to do ‘boy’s things’? Media today is setting the agenda for the way people live their lives. As time goes on, those media are making their way into how people make decisions or go about their everyday life. Imagine there is a person cooking in the kitchen. Imagine there is a person designing clothing. Surprisingly, following the article from CNN Living, world’s the top three restaurants’ chefs are all male. We usually think female has more passion
