Brendan O’Neal DN01-2 Research Topic International Finance For this semester’s research topic regarding international business, it is my intention to explore international finance. Much of international business and finance is foreign to me; I would like an understanding of how the international markets work in tandem with one another to produce a cohesive world economy where profit is able to be attained over borders and boundaries, miles, days, and all while passing through many hands through the supply chain. One of the most puzzling features of foreign exchange markets is the tendency for the rate of depreciation on major currencies in comparison to the U.S. dollars. With this being known, how is one able to manipulate the market, product, finances, labor, or overall financing to produce a profit in the world market without having to mark the product up so considerably that it is out of reach for the average consumer?
