This is the first of a number of case studies from the Yukl text. Read the case “Acme Manufacturing Company”, Chapter 2, and answer the questions presented at the end. In addition to the text questions, provide your personal analysis of the case. For this and all case studies, incorporate text, lecture and other resource material as appropriate in your answers. There are not necessarily any right or wrong answers to case studies. Submissions are evaluated based upon good analysis, incorporation of course concepts into your answers, and proper writing mechanics. This analysis should be 2- 3 pages minimum. As production manager, Steve did many things wrong in the case study: he arrived to work late, he overslept, he entered through the back entrance, socialized with his friend (George) prior to commencing work for the day. He remained uninformed about his day until he asked his secretary to brief him; he is evidently lacking organizational skills (evidenced by the piles of paper on his desk). He delegated an important task to a subordinate without following up on it, he went to an important quality control meeting without being prepared, rendering him unable to provide productive contribution to the meeting. He then managed his time in a manner that did not allow sufficient time to regroup and plan the rest of his day. He also failed to record an appointment that he had on his calendar; Steve was also unable to provide any useful
