I think Gay family should own the rights to the feel of Marvin Gays` song Got to Give it Up. For instance, Blurred Lines depicts that the harmony evidently points out to gay`s song. As you listen through both songs, you can feel the similarity in the musical notes that unify them (Lester, 2013). Therefore, this forms strong evidence towards the melody in both the songs. I feel that Williams and Thicke had infringed Gay`s copyright through assimilating the melody and harmony in his song Got to Give Up.
