Where do they come from!!! Very small pathogen that can enter the  body by any route. To survive has to enter a cell in the body,  use the DNA and RNA in the cell to  reproduce, kill the cell and then the virus  breaks up to enter other cells in the body.  More than 200 viruses- the cold, the  hepatitis’s diseases, warts, herpes, West  Nile, etc.  02/02/11 2

Antiretrovirals Antiretrovirals-(HIV) when retro viruses  attack they don’t use the DNA they focus  on the RNA that can be turned into DNA  which helps the virus to reproduce faster.  -To control the disease they need to treat  the virus at each stage of the cycle. This  drug regiment is called HAART- Highly  Active AntiRetroviral Therapy.  Retrovir 02/02/11 5
