Exercise 7 Calculating Diversity Indices and Regression Analysis Post-exercise Assignment Jong Park 1. Graph of the diversity indices for each reach in Strawberry Creek. 2a. In our experiment, The Middle North Fork and Middle South Fork, which are placed around the middle of the Strawberry Creek had the highest Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index values (when values are compared in relation to each fork North and South). The Upper South Fork, which is the highest of our experimented sites, had an average Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index value. The Above Confluence and Lower South Fork, which are the lowest parts of the creek excluding the Below Confluence, had the lowest values. The Below Confluence which is located below the combined streams of North and South Forks had the second highest index values, the first being the Middle North and Middle South Forks. 2b. The middle sections (Middle North and South Forks) of the strawberry creek carry the most diverse ranges of organisms, because the energy input is the highest. The highest section (Upper South Fork)
