Environmental Research Project Extra Credit Jong Park 1. The other group did not have extra information; however, they concentrated on covering mostly pre-European history, whereas we covered the periods of history evenly. They also focused more on covering the animals present at each historical period of Cordonices creek than we did. 2. The other group found 12 stoneflies, 2 may flies, whereas we found only 3 mayflies. We came to the conclusion that the habitat condition is very bad, whereas they concluded that the habitat condition is good. The reason for this difference could be that the groups assessed different spots in Cordonices creek. Our data does not fit the River Continuum Concept, because the creek was narrow covered with canopy, so more shredders were expected to be found. The other groups data fits the RCC because they found 12 stoneflies,

The main research findings were the historical background of the Native American inhabitation, the Spanish invasion, and the contemporary developments. Since the research was about the history, the group could not integrate any information into the fieldwork. I suggest that they compare the type of plants that were used to be found and the type that they found at the fieldwork. 4. I think this project gives a great opportunity for students to integrate what they have learned in ES 10. I would advise the next year’s students to try to remember and use all the things they will have learned, because it will help the information really become theirs....
