You will need to know the differentiation rules (like product rule, quotient rule and chain rule etc) for most of the exam. This now includes those for exponential functions and natural logarithms. Implicit Differentiation & Related rates Concavity and Points of Inflection Procedure for determining intervals of concavity Procedure for finding inflection points Behavior of a graph at an inflection point The Second Derivative Test (for relative extrema) Curve Sketching Determine the domain. Determine any intercepts. Locate asymptotes (horizontal and vertical). Find critical numbers/critical points Determine Intervals of increase/decrease and locate relative extrema. Determine Intervals of concavity and locate inflection points. Relative Extrema
