Wise Scenario Judgment The topic that I have chosen from the list is “A man has had a difficult time finding a job that pays enough to support his family. He has finally landed the job and has been working six months. He discovers that his manager is engaging in illegal activities on the job.” In this scenario, this man is faced with a difficult decision. He has to decide between making enough money for his family or letting someone know that his manager is involved in illegal activity and possibly losing his job. In order to help this man make this decision, I will go over five components of wise judgment in reference to this situation. Those five components of wise judgment are: Factual knowledge about matters of life, Procedural knowledge, Lifespan contextualism, Recognition and management of uncertainty, and Relativism regarding solutions (Bolt, 2004). 1. Factual knowledge about matters of life is about “human nature, interpersonal relations, and social norms”. (Bolt, 2004, p. 94) In this scenario, having to have a job in order to make money would be social norm and it might be considered human nature to ignore
