Maryah Barna Palmetto Middle School Mrs. Knight 8 th Grade September 30 th , 2009 8 AM to 9 AM First Reflections and Goals The classroom I was placed in was smaller than I expected. It was a math class, with several posters on the walls about how to do simple math problems. There were also several other posters about education in general that aim at motivating students to study harder and learn more. Several of these have actually been in the classrooms I was taught in as a student in middle school and high school. Other items clothed the walls, such as the guidelines of the class and the expectations of the teacher. Out of all of these, what surprised me was the Smart board. I was completely shocked to see such nice equipment for the classroom in a middle school. When asked about it, my supervisor told me that every classroom has one. I did not know that there was enough financial means, or enough effort into preparing the classrooms in such a way. Since I went to school in North Carolina, this
