PRESENTATION FORM Student Name: Maryah Barna PHIL 102 Sec. 8 Topic (noun phrase): Marriage, Sex, Love Thesis (position statement): If marriage could rely on true lasting love, rather than temporary emotions and sex, then the union of marriage could last till death parts the couple. Main Lines of argumentation (full sentences with significance, no phrases or clauses) I. Love is not just feelings, but action and devotion. It can be strengthened and grown over time, with effort and time. II. Sex is meant for marriage alone, and ruins the relationship when not within the boundaries of marriage. It complicates the relationship before it is ready. III. Marriage is a life-long commitment, ‘till death due us part’, and should not be taken lightly. This means it will need hard work and commitment from both parties. Anticipated objection(s) Sex is alright outside of marriage; it’s just sex. Significance (so what?)
