Study the case, "Smith Financial Corporation" on pages 54-58 of the text Management Communication: Principles and Practice (3rd Edition). Answer the following questions concerning the case "‘Smith Financial Corporation." Your response should be both thorough and succinct; be sure to use correct spelling and grammar. 1. What point of view did Miller communicate to his co-workers? Miller solely focused on his own point of view. In fact, he labeled outside views as inherently incorrect most of the time, unless they were in direct agreement with his own. Rather than listening to outside points of view and seeking participation from all, he forced his own opinions as if he were an omnipotent dictator in a land of migrant farm workers this, unfortunately, was not the case. 2. What was their view of him? Others viewed Miller as egotistical, narrow-minded, and offensive. Rather than being a change agent in the good way, he seemed to only bring a sense of intraorganizational conflict to the table. Miller outright chided and humiliated others for not mindlessly agreeing with his opinion, whereas he should have sought intelligent debate and persuaded rather than mandated change. He did not have the absolute power that he thought he did, and this is what cost him his job. 3. How well did he take their point of view on the company and their common tasks into account?
