1 PCA using Insight node 1. Start SAS. Download and import the dataset baseball.xls from the course website. Start Enterprise Miner and create a new project. 2. Drag an Input Data Source node onto the diagram, open it, and input the data set. Drag an Insight node onto the diagram, right-click, run and choose to view the results. 3. Choose Analyze: Multivariate from the main menu. Select variables (only the ones that have interval measurements), move them into Y and click the Output button. Click the Principal Components Analysis check box. In the Descriptive Statistics section check COV and/or CORR if you want to have covariance and/or correlation matrices in the output. Click Principal Components Options and check Eigenvectors if you want to have eigenvectors in the output. Click OK. 4. A multivariate window appears. At the bottom of the window is the principal com- ponents analysis. Note that by default the analysis is carried out on the correlation matrix. You can use the covariance matrix instead by setting options with the Method button in the
