Fact or Opinion Speech January 11, 1989 marked the ending of President Ronald Reagan’s second term in office. President Reagan was known for his ability to write and deliver some of America’s best speeches. He is remembered as “The Great Communicator” because of his ability to deliver these memorable speeches. January 11 th was the day that President Reagan delivered his Farwell Speech to the American public. The content of his Farwell speech that I am going to describe is the end portion that tells a story of the nation in the eyes of President Ronald Reagan. While addressing the nation he describes a vision of “This Shinning City”. In some ways this was a very descriptive way to express the country he had been running for those eight years in office and the state of the nation which he was leaving to his predecessors. In that way his speech takes on a factual approach. Thought President Reagan was revered as a great story teller, gripping his audience, and delivering his message in this way. In a very descriptive way President Reagan tells the last story of his vision of our nation. In his
