PHY 202 SPRING 2009 This course is a continuation of Physics 201. Using a problem-solving approach the following topics will be covered: waves and sound; fluids; electricity. magnetism, electro- magnetic induction; light, optics; and modern physics Prerequisite : College Algebra (MAT195) General Physics (201) Instructor : John Schlesinger E-mail: [email protected] Required Course Materials : Text book- Physics , Cutnell and Johnson Sixth edition. Calculator, ruler, Objectives of Course : You will receive a list of course objectives for each unit. Teaching Procedures : Class meetings will include lectures, lab activities, demonstrations and discussions. You will be assigned activities that will involve calculators and computers. Lab reports are to be typed on a computer.
