BUSINESS ANALYTICS CULTURE2Business Analytics CultureBusiness analytics is here to stay, and more businesses are finding that the implementation of analytics that drives Business Intelligence (BI) support better decision making. However, many companies are struggling with driving a culture that accepts BI. There are many reasons for the cultural pushback, but I will provide my opinion on a few. First, understanding the value of BI is hard for people compelled to use it. In a majority of companies that are transitioning to BI, the individual users are comfortable with the legacy system they use ono a regular basis (Skyrius et al., 2016). Therefore, they are hesitant to embrace a new system without a clear understanding of the benefits. Next, the implementation of BI can be overwhelming to individuals who had no input in the development process.
