Dear Josh, This was a cute and refreshing story. It reminded me of a story in a children's book about a young group of boys who get involved in mischief that ends up turning out badly. The setting was very descriptive and I especially liked how our narrator, the main character, spoke to the reader using his accent or his speech style, enabling us to get to know him more and to attach ourselves more to his actions and to his character. Spiritual Cemetery is about a group of young boys who decide to hatch a plan to free their neighbor's dog. The story begins with our main character reflecting on the death of one of his good friends, Sid, and telling us about his wisdom and his good heart. The plot then shifts back to the day that we assume his friend Sid dies. It begins with the three boys, Sid, Doug, and the narrator preparing to creep up to their evil neighbor's house at the crack of dawn and free his dog. They discuss the plan and then head out, each boy having a different sort of confidence about the plan of action, some
