SHORT-ANSWER QUESTIONS FOR EXAM 1 MKT 351 (004), Spring 2010 Exam Administration It is for 1 hr. No make-up exam if you arrive late, or do not show up. Exceptions will be made for documented emergencies (e.g., health issue). The exam covers chapters 1, 2, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. It is worth a total of 35 points. 15 points: 15 multiple-choice questions (1 point each). You have no advance information on these. 20 points: 4 short-answer questions (5 points each). You do have some advance information on these, as detailed below. Because you have the list of short-answer questions in advance: Do not take any breaks during the exam. Do not have notes, cell phones, etc. anywhere close. Do not hide your face (e.g., behind hats). Do not let others see your answers. Any attempt to cheat will result in a score of zero, and you will be reported to the Office of Academic Integrity. Your score will be posted on Blackboard within a week after the exam. Other Notes The 4 short-answer questions on the exam will be from the 15 questions listed below. All of these questions have been covered in class. So please prepare them on your own—do not ask the instructor for help. Read questions carefully “Name” questions If you are asked to name “one” thing, just name one. If you are asked to name “two” things, just name two. If you can’t remember the exact name, still write what you know about it. “Explain” (or “Define”) questions You can use a combination of terminology and examples. Write answers clearly Brief, legible, and directly connected to question. Structure sentences in your head before you start writing. Do not use Ashwani-knows-the-rest logic.
