Unformatted text preview: Module 3 --- Article 4 RESOURCES FEMALE ATHLETE TRIAD PROFESSIONAL AND PATIENT RESOURCES Female Athlete Triad is published as 2 guidelines in fact-sheet format, 1 for pediatricians and 1 for parents, coaches, and athletes. They are published as part of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Sports Shorts series. As defined in the guidelines for pediatricians, “the combination of 3 interrelated conditions—disordered eating, amenorrhea, and osteoporosis—has been termed the female athlete triad. . . .
