Unformatted text preview: CLASSICAL ANALYSIS - MATH 108C MIDTERM EXAM DUE DATE: TUESDAY MAY 5, 4PM • Do not read any of the problems until you are ready to begin the exam. From the time you start reading the first problem you have 3 (three) hours to complete the test. • You may use any of the books advertized on the course website and your notes. If you like to use another book you can request to do so (before starting your exam); in principle most complex analysis textbooks will be alright. Please refer to results by either stating them clearly and completely or by number of the book (only for books mentioned on the website). • The subject of the midterm is in essence Chapters 1-4 and 5.1 and 5.2 of Greene and Krantz’ book. • You are not allowed to use any electronic devices during the test (i.e. no calculators, no computers, no mobile phones etc.). • Before starting the test you can ask any question you like to other students who have not started the exam, the TA, and myself.
