This simulation looks at modifying a three stage evaporator system by adding a flash tank to recover the heat from the first effect’s condensate. The base case shows the evaporator system before the modification. The alternate case includes the new flash tank, and the subsequent sheets look at the sensitivity of the new system to changes in the incoming weak black liquor stream. Inputs must be updated on individual sheets. The flow sheet portions of each trial are the only places where changes should be made. The input cells are colored green so that they can be easily identified. The sensitivity analysis will not update from inputs in the original flow sheets, and must be modified on a individual basis.
