EE 320 Dr. N. El Naga SHEET #6 1. Using RS Flip Flops, design and implement a 6-bit shift register with the following operating features. On receipt of a clock pulse it: a) Shifts its contents two bit-positions to the left if the control signal L = 1. With zeros stored in the L.S. two flip-flops. b) Shifts its contents one bit position to the right if the control signal R = 1, with one stored in the M.S. flip flop. 2. Using JK Flip-Flops, design and implement a 6-bit shift register with the following operating features. On receipt of a clock pulse it: a) Increments its contents by one if the control signal I = 1. b) Works as a ring counter with its contents shifted one position to the right, if the control signal R = 1.
