Jaime Checkley RELI 1001 – Honerkamp Judaism Film Summary Judaism: The Chosen People The chosen people were persecuted over the last 3000 years, since the  time of the Romans/Titus.  Having survived with their faith in One God, they are  an unusual nation. Nazi concentration camp survivor Elie Wiesel, now dwelling in  New York, gives his hard-earned opinions about the real nature of the Jewish  people.  The Holy One was the first and last to reveal himself at Mt. Sinai, the site  of his dictation of the commandments. His words were not just a system of  morality or series of historical events; they were to be considered a way of life.  Wiesel explains how Jews are raised striving for the truth following interpretations  of Holy Scriptures.  Their faith bearing similarity to a musician in a quartet playing  a piece of music: God says something and his people interpret the meaning.  Jews are unwavering instruments of God. The film lands in Israel for a comprehensive journey through the historic
